Get to know Narelle.

Narelle is an incredibly committed & integral member of the Highview Prahran team – she was the first employee of Simon’s taking on the office administration role, “I started the role part-time once my children were all school age & now I’ve been within the team for almost 9 years!”

“I’ve really enjoyed watching the team grow. The people I’m surrounded by at work make my days really enjoyable. We have a diverse group of people all working hard together & striving to reach their goals – whatever those goals may be. I also love working with my clients & getting to know them & their goals.”

Narelle studied Accounting at University and then attained a graduate position at ANZ, however not long after decided to scratch her ‘travel bug itch’ and headed off to London! Securing a job with UBS in banking she remained in London for 7 years (she may have stayed a little longer than planned as this is where she met her future husband, Paul 😊). After having travelled to over 40 countries, including trekking in Nepal, safariing in Africa, sailing down the Nile & riding the Tran Siberian railway, she returned to Australia with Paul to settle down & build their life together… & that they did! Her three beautiful children are now all teenagers. Harry 19, Alexandra 17 & Freddy 15 keep her busy daily with “the usual mum duties” Narelle laughs. “Getting back into the workforce those years ago was daunting at first but exciting – with my children all at school it was definitely time. As I got stuck into my role at Highview, I went from administration based roles to utilising my previous qualifications in Accounting. Simon then supported & encouraged me to complete my CPA studies – which I did! This was a huge achievement that I’m incredibly proud of.” Said Narelle.

We asked Narelle what motivates her, “I love a challenge or setting a goal to achieve. But ultimately my families’ happiness is my highest motivator – my goal in life is to be happy.”

When not in the office working hard to deliver great results for her clients, Narelle enjoys keeping fit both running & swimming often. Getting together with friends is something she always enjoys in between “madly driving” with her daughter behind the steering wheel, “Alex has her learners permit & is catching up on her driving hours missed during lockdown last year so she can get her licence the moment she turns 18!”

We’re so grateful for Narelle’s hard work & loyalty, she’s one in a million!
