#1 Marquee at Labrokes Peninsula Cup
On November 3rd Highview hosted the #1 Marquee at Labrokes Peninsula Cup for the fourth year in a row. Each year this event has consistently been a sell-out and 2019 did not disappoint on being the biggest and best year, ever!
This year we brought something unique to the Highview Marquee to share with our guests on the Peninsula… a piece of New York, Central Park to be exact. The aesthetics were beautiful and the atmosphere electric as guests were greeted by a magnificent champagne garden wall on arrival. Lavish flower swings served for the perfect Instagram-worthy shot, and an outdoor Garden Bar delivered all New York City’s dazzle and pizzazz. It was fair to say that it was at this time racegoers knew that the stakes this year had most certainly been raised.
With additional food, bars and bathrooms this year, the event flowed flawlessly. The sun peaked out through the clouds, and the little drops of rain here and there didn’t dampen racegoers spirits.
Even if you didn’t back the winner of the Cup, you were still a winner enjoying your own bottomless cup – hooray for unlimited beverages! The all-inclusive beverages and local food stalls went down a treat, which paired perfectly with a sensational band with the trackside view to match.
The fashion in the Marquee was superb and demonstrated the Peninsula’s great taste and unparalleled style.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Melbourne Racing Club for all their efforts and support this year. Their collaboration and hard work has made every year memorable, however they most certainly raised the bar this year to help make this event the most fun and enjoyable one, yet.
Overall it was a wonderful day spent with everyone and we cannot wait for next year’s Peninsula Cup, bring it on!
